Our Story
Hugo's is a family-independant café and bar, nestled in the corner of Burscough Wharf. Opened by husband-and wife Abby and James Smith in 2020, they settled on naming it after their first pet together, a yorkie poodle mix, who had an infectious enthusiasm for food.
In 2025, Abby and James passed Hugo's to Emily, and her family, who has been part of the Hugo's team since the cafés opening. With a fresh new rebrand and exciting seasonal menus, Emily is pushing Hugo's to new heights!

At Hugo's, we are proud to host special occasions for our patrons. Whether it's a birthday party, a baby shower, or a family get-together, we will go above and beyond to ensure your day is extra special!
